Flip Video Officially Brings Flip Mino Camcorder in the Limelight

Flip Video has announced the official launch of its latest video camera, called Flip Mino. Said to be the smaller brother of Flip Ultra, the new camcorder promises to provide superb video recording capability.

At just 100 x 50 x 16mm and a mere 90g, it sports a 2 GB onboard memory, touch-sensitive controls, a built-in Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery for four hours of shooting, a 1.5-inch TFT screen size with a resolution of 528 x 132 pixels, an integrated speaker, omni-directional microphone, PAL TV out support with included cable and a flip-out USB connector.

For video capturing, the Flip Mino offers auto shout-down to save power, time function and ability to play, pause, fast-forward and rewind the videos. It also comes with fixed focus lens, smooth multi 2x digital zoom and aperture. Additionally, the camcorder also has value-added features such as 640 x 480 resolution of video performance with 30 fps, VGA CMOS sensor, high sensitivity with automatic low light detection and compatibility with MPEG4, AVI file formats.

Supporting Mac OS, Windows XP and Vista, the Mino can be connected to a computer through USB for charging and sharing videos on YouTube and Myspace.

The Flip Mino video camera carries a price tag of £120 (approx. Rs. 9,937).
